A Paul Mitchell Partner School

Paul Mitchell Schools Saddle Up for a Cause

Winn Claybaugh and Team Paul Mitchell Schools 2009
For the sixth straight year, Paul Mitchell Schools proudly joined the 2,000 riders representing 41 states and 14 countries for the 7-day, 545-mile AIDS/LifeCycle ride. Braving steep descents and a torrential downpour, Team Paul Mitchell boldly pedaled from San Francisco to Los Angeles while helping to raise $10.5 million for the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

Team organizer George Morales said, “Team Paul Mitchell Schools reflected the fact that AIDS does not discriminate and neither do we. Just as AIDS affects people of every age, race, and gender, our team included people with different religious beliefs, lifestyles, sexual orientations, and political affiliations. The makeup of our team broke the stereotypes of what AIDS is all about and showed the world that Paul Mitchell Schools really are ‘One Size Fits All.’”

About June 2009

AIDS/LifeCycle is a fully supported, 7-day bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles, May 31 – June 6, 2009. It’s a life-changing ride—not a race—through some of California’s most beautiful countryside.

AIDS/LifeCycle is co-produced by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and is designed to advance their shared interest to end the pandemic and human suffering caused by AIDS.
